89/90: The Great Disintegration
1989: All of Phantásia is under threat! The Nothing approaches at unstoppable speed from two sides: first as a real-socialist concrete mixer that threatens to armor the old conditions, and second as a neo-liberally flashing bulldozer that wants to sell the still older conditions as the latest solution and, on top of that, as without alternative. A cabbage that nestles so closely up against the wall that there is no room left in between for the dream of a better society that has yet to find its name – no room for fantasies, no hole through which to slip into another world – nothing.
With the help of the Will-o’-the-Wisp (Luise Meier, MRX Maschine), the chronicler (Karsten Krampitz, Wasserstand und Tauchtiefe) and Amanda Anfang as Michael Ende andcompany&Co. will reactivate the disintegration and redirect the dissolution energies of 1989/90 until the old lies become new stories and fantastic narratives: People hate to be taken for fools, but love to be taken for a ride.
